It should be a flashy Olympics but look for athletes collapsing in the toxic air. But the Olympics can surprise. Who thought the Athens Olympics would have been such a success after all the very negative buildup before hand? And how terrible the Atlanta Games were. Of course Sydney will be the gold standard of how to run an Olympic festival, as they did perfectly in 2000. (Like Lillehammer in the 1992 Winter games.)

The Chinese want this to be a showcase. Let's hope for the sake of the Games they do it.
