Oregon has the best. You can have every time of enviroment close at hand. we have beaches, mountains, deserts..all of it. My fav is camping up at Mt Hood near Little Crater Lake...great fishing, mountains.its wonderful

Depends on the type of camping you like, what kind of weather you want. Southern California is great for renting a beach camping spot because the weather is beautiful and warm. Colorado has some great camping in the mountains. If you use a camper or RV, does it really matter where you camp? It isn't like you are pitching a tent and living off what you packed in.
