i have used 75 grain hollow points for coyotes but that's too light for deer. i have excellent success with 95 and 100 grain nozzlers for deer and mountain goat and even a few calf elk.Need to buy a fishing line. Help!?
thee triple shock is a good bullet, but a little light for deer. stick with 100 gr. to get the most from your .243.Where do you go to find the manufacturer codes of an M1 carbine?
243 is already a little on the light side for deer, and pushing the lower limits farther with light bullets, even if they're copper, isn't a good plan. The problem is that you can have spectacular successes that will give you a false sense of security, and then you'll have the inevitable failures. If you're going to go for a light caliber (I've personally reassigned my 6mm to varmint hunting only) then you should push towards maximizing the sectional density of the bullet. How old do you have to be to buy a rifle? what about a handgun in NY state?
no i havent 95 grain Hornady Custom ( yellow box ) ballistic tip shoots like a dream i only know this because i handle Ammo for the largest privately owned gun store in texas for the last two years ive learned a few things in my time go with those the 85 XXX works good to though depends on what your doing for whitetail they both workDoes anyone know I could take my 7 year old daughter for a horse riding lesson in Solihull?
I use 100 gr. Remington core lock for 5 or 6 years and have never had a problem. several have said the .243 is light for deer yet if you ask for a young adult or woman's gun they always point to the .243. If you trust your gun and your shooting, the .243 will kill what you shoot at. Know your gun and know your limitations.More Questions & Answers...
