Is there a program that simulates the timing device used in pistol competitions?
You didn't say where you lived but right now in Texas the bass are starting to make beds and spawn. They will be in shallow water (2-4ft) on the beds or in slightly deeper water (4-10ft) preparing to move up on the beds. During the spawn they are very territorial and will hit a variety of lures that comes near their nest. Sometimes you can see them in the shallower water. They don't move into deeper water as the day progresses (they stay on their nests) so you can pretty much catch them all day long. This is just a small window of opportunity that comes every year. As spring goes into summer I fish for them shallow in the early morning and then deeper as the sun gets higher. Don't rule out the opportunity to fish at night during the warmer months. This is a great time to catch them and you don't have all of the other boat traffic to deal with that you will have during the day. Always try a darker colored lure (black) at night first then start changing colors. Use jigs and plastic worms fished very slowly. Early in the morning and late in the afternoon look in the backs of coves for bass to be breaking the water as they chase baitfish. Try a rubber bait like a Bass Assassin or Fluke fished near the bank. As summer goes into fall start using crankbaits in a crawfish or shad pattern. As the water starts to cool into winter use slower moving baits as the fish's metabolism is slowing down and they don't have the energy to chase a fast lure. And then you are back to spring again..and it starts all over again. Not everything I have said here is set in stone...a hundred fishermen will have a hundred different ways to deal with the seasonal patterns of bass. I am definitely not saying that my way is the best...it just gives me a starting point that works with my local lakes. Once again, I am not claiming to be the authority.....if I had all the answers you would be seeing me on ESPN and I would have my pic on a Wheaties box. Part of the challenge of fishing is figuring out what is working that day/that hour..coz I'm telling you that what is working on one side of the lake may not work on the other. Hope this helps. Good luck and tight lines.p.s. One more thing I forgot to say and I might have quite a few people disagree with me on this. I keep enough bass for 2 meals a year. I practice catch and release the rest of the year. But I do not keep any fish I catch during the spawn. I want to make sure that those big mamas make all the babies they can. The fish I keep are fish I have caught in the winter...they always seem to taste better when they come from colder water.

How do you set up a rhino baitcasting reel?
Well there are a few good times , I like fishing around a new moon and near a full moon . Also morning and evenings are good. I have also been catching my biggest bass on pressured waters at night ,preferably warm wind free nights using a topwater lure.Does target size effect accuracy?
