There is a product made by HTH called pH Minus. (I'm sure there are other company's that make it as well), it's fairly inexpensive, around $14.00 for 1/2 gal. Just follow the directions and your water will be back to normal in no time at all. It works quickly! GOOD LUCK!

You should use acid to lower the pH. If you obtain a quality test kit it will have an acid demand test feature. Do that test to determine how much acid you need to add. By the way, it's best to use dry acid in an above ground pool. Unless you need a bunch of acid (that would be the result of having a WAY high Total Alkalinity in your tap water.)
