I would also recommend the Chatooga! Great rafting and great scenery! The Chatooga is a federally designated "Wild & Scenic" river. This legislation is the equivalent to the endangered species act for rivers. It is heavily protected and as a result, pristine. Wild & scenic rivers are a little more difficult to get trips on as a result of this protection. I recommend contacting an outfitter, as soon as you know when it is you want to go, and making your reservation to secure a spot on a trip. If you enjoy this trip you'll have to give rafting in Colorado a try, it is the best to be had in the U.S.! Have fun!
