Are fishing reels from the 1950's worth some money as 'collectibles'? How much?

Alot of that depends upon the reel, its condition, and who is wanting it. I collect Zebco, Johnson, South Bend, Phillipson, and a few others. I recently paid $20 for a 1957 Zebco "All in One". Its in mint condition. But I saw one go on ebay for $53. I gave $10 for a cira 1945 to 1954 Phillipson casting rod. I just sold a 1960 Johnson spincast reel in good condition for $8. That's why I say it depends on who is wanting it as well. Some Pluegers and Penn's are worth upwards of a $100 to $300 dollars.

One of the first thing a collectors will as you is do you have the original box and instruction sheet?? Original packaging makes it worth more to most of us collectors.

I have several poles from the 50's. I like the way they tied the eyes to these poles, but they are collectors items now. You can get as much as you can get for it. There is no real significant value unles it is in mint condtion you could get arund $100.00
