Is a New England break action 12 gauge chambered for 3 inch mag any good?
Question:I have a remington 870 express mag 20 gauge pump. I was thinking about a 12 guage pump but this might not be so bad.
Pros
-28 inch barrel doesnt that make better accuracy?
-cheap $115
-Its a 12 guage that can shoot 3 inch mags better than 2 3/4
cons
-more recoil perhaps?
-only one shot...
Is new england even a good name?

How do you stock the lake with brown trout.?
The NEF guns are decent (not great) quality, but they're generally thought of as starter or kids guns in my world. They are, as you pointed out, cheap, though, and cheap is good. What're you going to do with it? Will you ever need more than one shot? Will you ever need more than one choke? Clearly, if you're going to hunt the answer to both questions is probably yes.Almost any new production 12G gun will shoot 3's, and many handle the 3.5's. Were you to ask me (and you did, sort of), I'd recommend instead a Mossberg 500. You should be able to find one right around $200 with a 28" ported barrel, three choke tubes and five round capacity in 2.75 or 3" shells. If you want to shoot slugs, you go and buy a barrel, it takes thirty seconds to change. You want a short barrel for home defense, you go buy the 18.5" barrel, it takes thirty seconds to change. Easy..
Good Luck.

What does a 3 day fishing lisense cost in tenn.?
New England is a very good name for the price. I have had a break action single shot .410 for 15 years. It is still beautiful and shoots well. These are perfect slug guns where you usually only shoot one time. They also make an inexpensive gun. However, I was in walmart recently and the Mossberg Maverick 12 gauge pump was $165 and it shoots 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells. It has choke tubes and is 28 in barrel. This is also a cheap option. I also have a Maverick and love it too. They are cheap but fairly sturdy single shots. They really do not fit in the same class as an 870.
It's hard to say, as you don't describe the use you intend for it.
For the very occasional purpose, they make a good gun to have around to take care of the occasional varmit eating the carrots in the garden or coming through your back door in the middle of the night or an occasional bird shoot, but this is not a shotgun to compare with a Remington 870.
What is the worlds Best pistol?
A lot of guys are buying the NEF firearms right now because the aftermarket is loaded with extras for them and they are cheap. It makes a perfect "trunk" shotgun because it hunts good and like I said before its cheap!Even though it says its chambered for 3" inch shells it will shoot 2 3/4 shells as well. I would get the modified choke if I were you. That way you can shoot standard lead slugs if you want.
Lots of guys are using single shot shotguns for turkey hunting now because its more of a challenge.
I'd buy it if you like it.

What is a whitetail 2 compond bow worth?
I love New England Firearms !!! They are the only shotguns that I own. as for shooting 3 in mags out of them the recoil is pretty awesome. So if they arent absolutey needed I would stick with the 2 3/4 the shoot fine out of 1. As for only having 1 shot you can reload quickly but then again you can live by the 1 shot 1 kill theory. Some1 said they where a "starter or kids" gun that is far from the truth New England and H&R are the same company and have made some of the best shooting guns in the market. www.hr1871.com is the web site so you can check the facts for yourself.More Questions & Answers...
