familierise your self with your surounding, find some where to make a shelter, then you play the fiddle. Once you have a shelter and warmth then you start with the rest, food ie hunting trapping etc. There are alsorts of things i could teach you about, would be hear some time.Baton rouge, La. public shooting ranges?

The first objective of survival is to get out of the cold & the wind, so you need shelter and warmth. In a wood depending upon what kind of woodland your in, you should be able to build a simple shelter out of branches. Build a simple bender or tipi (wigwam), next once you have a simple skeleton structure, cover the outside with more branches & leaves so that the structure then has a rudimentary water proof & wind proof covering. **this should on its own be enough to save your life, because without it you would quickly get hypotherma which can kill you.**Next you need a fire, if you have no tools of any kind. Then again you have to be very creative and resourceful and use the natural materials around you. Sounds silly but find dry wood and build a fire, next you would have to use one of the ancient fire making techniques, yes! rubbing two peices of wood together until you formed a glowing emba and then you would have to blow the emba into a flame with which to light your fire. (yes! it can be done, & you would do it if you had no other choice).
**Food isnt so important but water is, you can live along time without food but not without water. So water would be vital, without water your only going to live a few days were as without food you could live as long as 3 weeks.
**These are all very simple & basic survival techniques, they are all very well known about too.

Stop, become familiar with your surroundings.Second, build a shelter. Your in the woods, there's plenty of branches and leaves to use. You need to be dry and safe before you worry about food.
For a weapon, take a shoelace and a green sapling. Curve the sapling in a arc and tie the shoe lace to each end of the stick and you've got yourself a bow.
For arrows, get a straight piece of wood about the thickness of a pencil. Tie leaves or feathers to the end for stabilization. Sharpen the end of the arrow with a rock.
For fire, take the bow, a dry but dead stick and a piece of bark or something forked at the end. Put some dead and dry pieces of leaves and grass in the forked end. Take the string from the bow, (don't actually take the string off) Tie the string around the stick once and put the end of the stick on the forked piece of bark. Slide the bow back and forth, causing the stick to rotate. Press down as you do it do it rapidly. Sooner or later you'll have enough heat to start a flame, then a fire.
You can use rocks and large sticks to take out small game, like chipmunks, squirrels, etc.
To attrackt squirrels, take two rocks and tap them together. They will want to know what the noise is.
