Wobbling Arrows Are Killing My Accuracy?
I have been into Archery for about a year now and have an older Jennings Compound that I practice with just about everyday. It seems that everytime I sight it in, the next day, the sights are off. I store it in a case and when i sight it in, i dont shoot more than ten arrows. Also, once or twice a month, for an entire practice session, I notice the arrows wobbling every shot. The problem seems to fix its self the next day, but i dont wanna be caught in my stand with a big buck under me and have my arrow wobble and make a bad shot. Any tips.

Is there good fishing in Louisiana and where! and what kind of fish is good biting.?
As far as the loss of zero with your sight, the first thing I would check would be to see if the sight is loose. Make sure that all mounting screws are tight. This accounts for many sight problems. the next thing I would do is to see if the sight is being mashed or having pressure put on it when you put it away in its case. Often times a case that doesn't fit properly will put pressure on the sight and force it out of zero when you go to use it next time. The most likely problem with your arrows is underspining. Make sure that the arrows match the draw weight of your bow. Also make sure that all arrows have the same spine weight. If you mix arrows with different spine weights, they won't shoot to the same point of impact. If the arrows are underspined, they will flex excessively when the force of the string is transfered to the nock or the arrow upon release.
Another thing to check is to see if the limbs of your bow are in good shape and have equal strength. Any good bow shop can check to see if the limbs are in good shape and balanced. You also need to check all pullys and cable to be sure that there are no biniding pullys or frayed cable that could cause problems.
If checking the sight, the bow and the arrows doesn't solve the problem, you will have to get with a pro at a bow shop and let him see if he can identify any problems with your technique. He'll first make sure that the draw lenght is correct for you and then look at how you draw and hold you bow. He'll look at your release to see if you are possibly jerking your shot and he'll make sure that the bow that you are using is not too heavy for you.
I hope that this has helped top solve your problem and you can get back to enjoying the hunt. Good luck and good hunting.
What would u com pair being shot with a paintball to?
I had the same problem. I could not figure out what was going on. Finally, I had my arrow feathers attached in a slight spiral. Then it seemed to help, but it would still happen more than I wanted. It turned out to be a simple thing. I had to have them balanced and tuned. YAHTZEE!Draw weight, length and broad head weight are all determining factors in what length arrows you shoot. Go to a pro shop and coordinate your bow along with getting it tuned. This should help your problem. Remember not all bow techs are equal!
What Is An Out Of Battery Shot?
i would take the bow to an archery shop to ensure the sight is correctly on the bow. next make sure that the arrows are correct to the draw weight of the bow. there are tons of diff size arrows that are for diff draw weights and broad head weights. also ensure that the cams are tuned to each other.More Questions & Answers...
