I own more guns than anyone here needs to know about. And I've put a gun on my hip or in a pocket on a daily basis for nearly 30 years.So far I've not had to shoot anyone, but as someone else said, the day ain't over. I have on a number of occasions been in the position that I felt the need to draw my sidearm. In every instance, the person looking down the muzzle of hm pistol remembered an urgent appointment in another county and departed post haste. Since I am not a cop, I didn't try to hinder the departure.
Two maxims have guided me for years.
1 - Better tried by 12 than carried by 6.
2 - It is far better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it.

So far, I consider it a blessing that I haven't had to shoot at anyone yet, and hope I never have to. It is a concern to me, as that the city I live in has been progressively getting worse over the past 15 years. There always is that possibilty that I may have to some day, to defend myself. I really hope that day never comes.

Yes; I own a gun or two. Simply an American citizen exercising my right to own and bear arms as guaranteed by the constitution; written by people who saw what happened to unarmed helpless subjects who endured everything when unarmed. It is not polite to ask people if they have shot anyone. Many people who have been in the military don't even hunt when they return to civilian life; but we still like to target shoot and plink; and we apprecitate our god given freedoms.
