Are there any good fishing areas in or around Raleigh NC?
We are planning on moving to Raleigh in March and my husband won't go until he finds out where the best fishing locations are. Thanks in advance for the help!

Anyone know anything about older shotguns?
If your husband like warmwater fishing (i.e., bass, crappie and the like), there is excellent fishing around and close to Raleigh.Falls of the Neuse Lake is just north of the city, and Jordan is a huge lake south of Durham. There are some smaller lakes, like Shearon Harris. There are also some good rivers - both large and small.
Raleigh is also 3 hours from excellent saltwater fishing, and 4 hours from mountain streams/rivers with catchable trout and smallmouth bass.
March is actually an excellent time for bass fishing in the area.
A Lake might work or maybe a pond somewhere...I dunno try it
I want to spend a week fly fishing in Montana. Any advice?
Go to Mayberry. Ask Sheriff Taylor or Deputy Phyfe. If they're not around, ask Opie or Gomer Pyle. Even Aunt Bea knows a few fishing holes.More Questions & Answers...
