What is good bait for catching rainbow trout. i bought power bait trout bits but didnt try them out yet?

Ah' with the Power Bait bits, I asume that your refferin' to the Power Bait Nuggets? Don't know what your luck will be, but mine was not any fun! The D _ _ n things stuck ta'gether and what I had was a mess!! Ambient air temp., has a great deal ta' do with it ie., the hotter it is the more "stick em' ta'gether", they gonna get!! Best ta' buy Power Bait in solid form, take out a hunk (use your discretion on the amount), I usually go with a small chunk bout' the diameter of a quarter, put it in the palm of my hands and in a circular motion form it inta' a small ball, push hook in and viola' ( #8 size hook should do the trick). If ya' decide ta' go with artificial bait then like Brandon conveyed, a Panther Martin spinner will do the job. My personal best is the black body with yellow spots & a gold blade. Might add with the P.B., I use Rainbow w/ speckles in it. Also one can get creative, as I've done when the jars are gettin' low and mix colors ta'gether ~ hey trust me it'll work ;)...Keep in mind a trout that is planted (stocked by humans) is goin' ta' be a lot easier ta' take than a native (one that's been around for quite awhile), sooooo if they be the latter I'd say live bait= worms, nightcrawlers, grasshoppers, or Helgramites (if ya' don't mind lookin' under rocks ta' get them). Artificial bait=spinners or small spoons like a Kastmaster or (?), even somethin' I just recently got turned on to is what's called a, "Pistol Pete Fly" (link to them is below)...Hey got ta' get, I'm gettin' "Typin' Elbow". Yes if they are stocked trout they will work , Also try nightcrawlers .As far as artificials you might try a Panther martin spinner or a trout fly tipped with a worm one of those should catch trout

I like to use Berkley trout worms in the cheese color. I caught about 20 fish in just one day here's how you rig it you use a size 4 or 6 octopus hook and place 2 small splitshots about 1-2 inches from the hook and let it drag on the bottom the fish go crazy over it.Am I the only girl who likes to play paint ball?
Powerbait in orange and pink work good on the small trout here. Just take a chunk, roll it into a tight ball, roll it up on your hook and sink it. If you want to catch some bigguns, get worms or a fly with a bubble.to hell with the power baits use trout worms or salmon eggs also spinners work well to if you cant catch them but you see them jumping learn to fly fish
