My wheels on my skateboard got all dirty and it doesn't ride smooth anymore. how can I clean them?

my Buddy uses an angle grinder(body grinder) with a 60 grit ?sand paper disc. He putts the grinder so that the rotation of the grinding disk makes the wheel spin on the trucks. that way he doesnt get any flat spots. (you may want to try this out on some cheap wheels first just to get the hang of it.) He also rides triles bikes and roughs up the rims on his bike the same way to get better braking action.

Wipe the wheels clean using water or mild soapy water and dry them using a soft rag or towel. Check the rolling surface of each wheel and remove any tiny objects that have become embedded in the polyeurathane.
