How much does it cost to learn to shoot a gun?
Also can you just go once?
Answers:
However, it can cost a bit of money to learn to shoot a gun WELL. It won't cost much if you are shooting .22 caliber. It will cost a bit more if you're shooting 9mm. It can cost a lot if you're shooting .45. And you're either insanely rich or just stupid to learn how to shoot with a .50AE.
I'd recommend calling a gun range in your area, and finding out if they rent .22 caliber handguns or rifles. Gun rental is usually around $10 to $15. .22 caliber bullets will run about $1.25 for 50 rounds. Targets can be free, if you print them off of your computer. Range fees might run around $10. Ear plugs are about a buck, and eye protection is about $8.00 at Wal-Mart, or you can use a pair of light sunglasses if you've got them.
I hope you try it out. It's a lot of fun, and is a practical skill, as well. I think you'd enjoy it.

Many gun ranges will rent you a gun if you want to see if you like it. It shouldn't cost too much for the rental. 50 round should be $10-15, the range fee should be similar. I don't know how much a rental is because I have plenty of my own. Ask around and you will likely find someone who is eager to teach you. We gun folks are very friendly and accepting.
You did not indicate where you live and how old you are. Those can be determining factors.
Here is the link to the National Rifle Association basic firearms training page. There are programs for adults and young people - just follow the links. There is also a link for locating a certified training program near where you live.
Do not try to learn in one day. Shooting is a great hobby and it is worth your while to develop your skills and learn all the safety techniques.
Can I shoot smokeless ammo in a H&R replica of a U.S. Model 1873 (Cavalry)?
Depends what kinda gun you wanna learn how to shoot. If you want a small pistol or something, then try friends, or try finding a beginners lesson somewhere.
Same with a rifle, which is an entirely different animal when learning to shoot it, even though the fundamentals are similar.
Shotgun's sorta half-way similar to a rifle.
Yeah, try friends that know what they're doing and are willing to help you, and if you can't find any, look for beginners classes and then move up to whatever interests you.
Your sheriff's department might be able to help with beginners pistol lessons. I'm not sure though.
Good luck, and thank you for supporting my favorite sport(s).
Were can i find a good paintball gun at?
Start by calling the gun shops in your area, find out if there are any shops that will rent you a gun.I know of a couple gun shops, unfortunately not in your area, that will rent you a full auto sub machine gun (with an instructor). So, if you want to make an experience out of it, try to find one of those.
The Marines have a very good program but ..... sorry couldn't resist.
Well the cheapest way is to have a friend that shoots. Most shooters are very enthusiasic to welcome newcomers. Check to see if any public ranges or Gun Clubs in your area have a beginning shooting course. Insurance and general urban costs may entail a fee but I doubt it would be more that $100 probably less than $50. Here is a link to Ranges and Clubs in Massachusetts. Good Luck and enjoy!

Can a 17 year old buy an assault rifle or handgun from a private dealer in louisiana?
if u are good lookin i am sure you can go to any gun range and the instructor will give you a free lesson sound sexist but i guarantee u it will work.Come to South Dakota, we all have guns here. I have my own shooting range and my family shoots a lot in the summer time. I shoot a little competition as does my oldest daughter. My wife likes to shoot clay pigeons and my youngest simply likes plinking with her .22, shooting reactive targets like crackers, or over ripe fruit or melons. We shoot a lot and we are all capable of handling a number of different firearms. My favorite is shooting the steel plate rack I built followed by long range rifle shooting. We pretty much do a little of everything.
Good luck.
