Where is a good place in Connecticut to catch white catfish.?
if you ask me i would go with the walther cause if you didnt know glock is owned by dasiey and im sorry but im not going to buy a gun thats made out of high impact plastic and if i may off a bit of advise i would go with a s&w if i was you or find an older colt pistol like i didDoes a minn-kota 50# thrust need i battery or two?
Jon gave you good advise. Fit is very important. For some people the wider bodied Glock does not 'fit' right in their hand. You didn't stipulate which model(s) you were interested in. In any case both are excellent choices. If anything you have more caliber & size choices with the Glock. Anything from the .9mm to the magnum class .10mm to either .45, the acp or the GAP.
Final note: Overlook the rhetoric about the 'plastic' handguns. Gun frame polymer is proving to wear better than metal. It is lighter and it absorbs a lot of the pistol's recoil. The Glock has been around more than twenty years now, and have you ever heard of one wearing out? Have you heard of one melting because it was left in the sun? Glocks work in sub-zero and 100 plus temperatures. They are durable, low maintenance, dependable, accurate, user-friendly, accurate and high cap available in diverse calibers. Gaston Glock revolutionized the handgun world with his plastic pistol.
Once upon a time I too could not see myself carrying a 'plastic' handgun. But the proof is in the use and I've carried a first generation Glock Model .10mm for some 13 years without a malfunction. Steel, even stainless steel, requires more attention and wears quicker especially if not properly lubed. It is subject to cracking and more likely to be damaged if dropped. Looks like Glock class guns are the wave of the future, like it or not.
Good luck.

Glock. It's carried by more police and military than any other gun in the US. I believe the Walther is overrated because of James Bond. Sure, the .380 is a decent backup gun and cool looking, but I wouldn't want it in as a primary gun for defense. The 9mm newer Walther is decent looking, but Glock is proven.
Glock is reliable for the person who just keeps the gun handy and the everyday shooter. I have a Glock model 23, which is a .40S&W. It's the compact (medium sized) model. I love this gun! I bought a Glock model 32 barrel, which is a .357 sig. It just drops in. No need to change mags, spring, or anything. Just change barrels and you are shooting .357 Sig in the same gun. The gun was $479 new and the barrel was $100. It's like 2 guns for about $600.
Glock my friend. Go with Glock. If you really want a 9mm, they are good too and very cheap to shoot.
How do I hook up a line to catch stripers and crappies?
Glock. Tried, tested, and true. FBI, CIA, most law enforcement agencies use them. Accuracy and Dependability. If you want something you know is going to fire when you need it to. Go with a glock. If you want a handgun for personal defense go with a Glock. It is BY FAR the most reliable, out of the box, handgun I have owned, BY FAR. That is the single most important factor in a personal defense sidearm. Nothing else matters if it fails when your survival depends on it.
Forget about the fact they are made of plastic. I dare you to try and break it or wear it out, it will not. After years of use mine looks a little worn but functions perfectly. I have seen them dropped from helicopters, run over by cars, thrown against walls, used as hammers, submerged in salt water, buried in sand and continue functioning without a single malfunction. They are AMAZINGLY RELIABLE.
I love the fact that the safety mechanisms disengage automatically. Some people erroneously say Glocks do not have a safety. They do, but all are disengaged when the trigger is pulled. If you don't want to shoot keep your finger off the trigger. That is safe gun handling 101. A Glock will NOT fire unless the trigger is pulled. It is extremely safe however, it is not idiot proof.
Yes, I know they are not pretty. But if you are killed because your gun malfunctions you won’t be able to appreciate the deep rich blueing on you broken gun anyways.
I believe in them so much It is my choice for daily carry.
I own and over the years have used Colts, Smiths, Caspian, Springfield Armory, CZ, Browning, Walther, and HK. After firing thousands of rounds in competition and hacking up and customizing different guns I choose to carry a Glock.
NO, I am not employed by Glock and I do not have any financial interest in the company. I am just pleased as hell to find a great product at a low price that performs exactly as it was intended. The rest of corporate America should emulate Glock adopt this business model. We as consumers are tired of getting ripped off.
Thank you Mr. Glock for designing a great product.
I would say Glock based on the choices you presented, solely on Glock's simplistic design.
Less moving parts and ease of maintaining is a big plus.

Glock, by far. Glock is carried by more police agency's than any other handgun. However, Sig and H&K are getting a strong hold on law enforcement, and for good reasons. But for dependablity and durablilty, a Glock will not disappoint you. But make sure it fits in you hand comfortly. Why couldent I pull the trigger? ( more in details section).?
Glock.Cheaper, proven, far more accessory support.
