New to Houston area. Could use some info on fishing and boating.?

I am just about to purchase a 20' center console type fishing boat. Not quite sure which one yet but leaning towards a Century. I have experience fishing for reds, trout, flounder, snook, etc. down in Florida and want some of the same type of fishing here. The problem is, I have no idea where to go or even where to launch a boat once I get it. Is there a website that I'm not finding or a message board maybe on saltwater fishing and boating in the Houston/Galveston area? I'm considering going on a charter just to see where they take me but there's got to be a better and hopefully cheaper way to find out some of the best spots for boat launching, boat storage, and good fishing. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Galveston Yacht Basin, 715 Holiday Drive North, (409)762-9689, $9 per day

The Ben Blackledge Public Boat Ramp Under Highway 146, Bridge Kemah Side, Kemah, Texas

Galveston Island State Park: a two-lane, concrete boat ramp located at Pirates Cove adjacent to the park
