I went dove hunting last season. I accidently killed a eagle...What can I do?

This is like asking if a Cadillac is better than a Lincoln, both are excellent, my brother owns a bps and he has friends that josh him about it, because they own expensive italian shotguns. You know the biggest thing is how comfortable you are with the firearm, I personally love my 870, and did own an A5 and an 1100 as well as a mossberg 500, I still have the Wingmaster and the 500, just because the autos are too much maintannace. I will tell you that my dad owns an OLD model 12 Winchester, I wish I owned that gun, because it is in terrrific working order and fits me like a glove, but he ain't givin' it up! A well maintained gun of any quality is like any other machine, it is the operator that makes the difference and with somtething like a firearm personal choices are like ice cream, I like vanilla, maybe you like chocolate, if the guy who likes rocky road is a better shot, he'll hit well with a mossy. If the Itahca fits you better, or the Browning, then go with what you like. (just remember that MAINTANENCE is key) we have a gunsmith that takes care of all our guns and he is both reasonable and excellent, plus we do all our cleaning regularly and silicone rags and clp are cheaper than the alternative if ya know what I mean

Which is the best caliber for big game hunt at 500+ meters?

Whichever one you're more comfortable with. Both are good guns.

How long can a spring stay compressed.?

I have killed a alot of turkeys with bps shot guns I have a i
thica I have never even shot the bps will hold resale value better.
they are both comparable in operation . there is not much more to say is that you can be your own judge.

Used gun website.?

I own both of the shotguns mentioned. Both are excellent guns. The Ithica , my first repeating shotgun kicks like a mule, and has a very tight full choke. Which probably explains the kick. My BPS kicks alot less, and has interchangable chokes which makes it more versatile. If I lost both guns and had to replace them I would stick to the Browning hands down.
Just a tip, when you buy your gun, either one, get a gunsmith to add an extra bead mid barrel, it makes the world of difference.

Good Luck!!
