What is the cheapest way to get into shooting rifles?
This weekend I shoot a 22 rifle for the time. What is a cheap but decent brand for rifles? Also, where is the best place (preferably online) to find used rifles?
Answers:
A Ruger 10/22 as another guy suggested, is an awesome choice. There's no need to buy a used .22, they're quite cheap. Plus, as you learn more and get into it, 10/22's are the absolute best for customizing. There are a million different things you can do, put higher quality barrels on, optics, anything you want.
The 77/22 they make is good too if you want a bolt-action.
If you're just getting a .22 any local gunstore will have one of these, but Gunbroker is a good site, it's like E-bay for firearms. I'd just buy new though for a .22.

For a new, inexpensive 22 rifle, go with Savage as suggested above, for a used rifle, go with Marlin model 60, you just can't go wrong. Or Ruger 10/22, another good quality, long life rifle. I would suggest going with wood stocks rather than composite.Which one is better clothes for camping light or dark?
A Ruger 10/22 is the standard for semi-auto .22 plinkers. You can buy 30 round mags.Ordering online means the gun still has to be shipped to a licensed broker who will charge you a FFL transfer fee. Go to
