i use a blow drier to get the loose dust off first (no heat)
then a soft damp paper towel and (gently) wipe the feathers down from front to back
The ones i have in glass cases stay perfect year after year

I use a vacuun sweeper with a brush attachment. The trick is to barely brush the feathers or you will eventually ruin them. If you do not use the brush attachment, the suction of the sweeper will definately damage the feathers. Good luck with your cleaning project.
