How do you make bows or arrows?
I am just looking at a simple pull string bow and some non-lethal arrows. How would I make them? What materials would I need?

For no more than a toy any green limb can be used as a bow. Any type of stick can be an arrow.What type of gun do you prefer? .22 or a 9 mm?
When I was a little kid, I used to make bow and arrows all the time. For the bow, find a stick that has some curve to it, and then tie a piece of string to each end. For arrows, find the straightest sticks you can find. You can even add feathers to the arrows, if you want them to fly better.What can i use to catch bowfin?
If you are wanting something serious, I would recommend trying a kit first. The link below has several styles they also have books and design plans, basically everything you need.The trick to building a good working bow is in the tillering. Tillering is removing wood in the right places on the upper and lower limbs so that both bend in the same proportional arc.
Many different woods can be used in laminated bows. Self bows, as they are called, are one piece of wood, usually Osage Orange, yew or sometimes maple. They are built around imperfections in the wood, but still tiller evenly.
