Safari in Africa?
Would you go on a safari in Africa and would you bring your own guns to shoot the animals or use the guns provided?

YES INDEEDAS A MATTER OF FACT I AM JUST NOW RESEARCHING THE PROCEDURES FOR AN UP AND COMING ONCE IN A LIFETIME TRIP
ALTHOUGH IT IT POSSIBLE TO SHIP YOUR GUNS IT IS A PROBLEM TO SHIP THE AMMO, SO IF YOU HAVE HAND LOADED YOU CAN FORGET ABOUT THAT ANYWAY.

THE FIRST TIME HE SHIPPED HIS GUNS.
THEY NEVER ARRIVED
TOOK HIM 6 MONTHS TO GET THEM BACK.
HE HAD TO USE THE GUNS SUPPLIED BY THE OUTFITTER.
THE SECOND TIME HE LEFT THEM HOME.
NO PROBLEMS AT ALL.
YOU MAY GET A BEAT UP OLD GUN WITH DUCT TAPE ON THE STOCK BUT YOU ALSO WON'T BE LOSING YOUR FINE 416 RIGBY OR 460 WEATHERBY MAGNUM SOMEWHERE AT AN AIRPORT
JUST A THOUGHT. I HAVE YET TO DECIDE WHICH WAY I WILL GO.
IT IS DIFFICULT FOR A PERSON TO LEAVE BEHIND A CHOSEN RIFLE ONCE IT IS A FAMILIAR PART OF ONE'S HUNTS TO OPT FOR GOD KNOWS WHAT.
IT IS A RISK THAT IS APPARENT AND PAINFUL.

2 of my rifles are capable of taking large game, if I were to go on safari I'd bring those 2, and most likely use the safari's rifles for for other game animals I couldn't use mine for. I'd NEVER shoot an elephant, there's no reason to hunt them other than trophy, and I refuse to hunt for trophy.The same with rhino, those are a trophy animal, I never shoot anything I don't intend on eating.Now that I think of it, I probably wouldn't ever go on an African safari as they seem to be dedicated to trophy hunting.Maybe I'd leave my rifles at home and bring my camera instead.YES IT WOULD BE ONE OF THE GREATEST EXPERIENCES OF A LIFETIME---LEAVE YOUR GUNS AT HOME---THOSE WHO DO THIS WOULD KNOW THE BEST GUNS TO USE...DON'T TRY TO OUTSMART YOUR GUIDES--THEN YOU'LL HAVE A GOOD TIME.
