What is the best ultra light spinning reel?
Answers:
I would like information on homosassa springs.fishing etc?
I worked for years in a tackle shop when I was a young man. We sold Shimano, Penn, Mitchell, Pflueger, Daiwa, Okuma, & some misc "crap reels".These reels would come in regularly with "issues": Okuma, "cheaper" Daiwa's, Pflueger's, occasionally a Mitchell.
These reels either NEVER came in or very rarely: Shimano, "Mid-priced" Daiwa's and up, & the Penns.
You "get what you pay for" in regards to reels. However, there is a difference between "a good solid reel" and "a reel I'm gonna pass on to my Grand-children"! (lol)
If you are a "responsible person" & like expensive, quality "heirloom"-type reels, then a "Shimano Stella" would be the reel of choice. They start at $499. The Stella is probably the finest reel you can buy, excepting the new super-ultra light "Daiwa Steez"/$499.
If you want a good solidly built reel that will last for 25+ years look into the "Shimano Symetre"/ SY750FI/$79.99. The "Penn 420SSg"/$79.99. "Daiwa's Whisker SS" /SS 700/ $89.99. These are all "well-built" and would normally last a "leisure-time" fisherman a life-time.
If you want a cheaper reel then here are my suggestions:
#1 Mitchell 300 XGE. For the price this is a good reel that, if properly taken care of, could last a life-time. $54.99
#2 Pflueger President/6720. Take it out of the box and "operate it" before you buy it. If it has any "play" in the handle or the drag is not smooth, give it back and try another one. Get a "good one" and it will last a LONG time. $49.95
#3 Shimano Sahara/SH750FB. Great reel. I own 2 and they've never given me trouble. Make sure to do the "operate trick" before you buy! $59.99
Good luck & catch some fish!
What do you use for trolling on lake Winnibigosh in Minnisota?
Ultralights are usually reels that handle six pound test line or less. Some reels are actually designed for 2 pound test line.Penn Captiva Spinning Reel has an
ultra-smooth 11-bearing system. They combined toughness with a high bearing count to produce this quiet-running, comfortable-to-handle reel. A great value, with a long list of features that includes infinite anti-reverse, a high-speed perforated aluminum spool, balanced rotor for true wobble-free retrieves, and a one-touch folding handle. 10 ball bearings plus 1 roller bearing.
This is my reel of choice when fishing for small drum and such.
How do I catch a Carp in a small lake in New Jersey?
I have many types and one stands out for me it is the Tica CETUS SB500 6 bearing 5.2 to 1 ratio! I have put this reel through think and thin and have had no trouble with them. It is very smooth and casts well! A great reel for a super price only around 45 to 50 dollars! The drag system works and has held up very well!Check them out at your local dealer!
Which one is better and more accurate? which one is easier to use? why?
I've always preferred Pfleuger spinning reels, especially for ultra light fishing. There are some here that are very affordable..http://www.jrwfishing.com/fishing_rods_r...How do you make a bow and arrow?
There's a whole lot of them out there, but my personal preference when it comes ta' Ultra Light's, is my Penn 716Z reel, (unfortunately their not produced anymore but have seen them on Ebay) along with a G. Loomis gl3 spinnin' rod. G. Loomis, as far as I'm concerned is one of the finest rods one can invest in, notice I used the term invest and that'll be what it is $$$ ;). Doesn't really help ya' out, but just thought I'd throw it your way...More Questions & Answers...
