Corn? Thats new to me. Go to your local baitshop and ask. Smaller bass will hit worms spinner baits and lures to catch panfish. Bigger ones luv worms and big spinners.

Spring..look for beds(spawning) then throw a plastic lizard or a tube bait let it rest on the bed and shake a little until the fish gets angry and picks it up. A plastic worm works well most of the time. I would say the most reliable would be a plastic worm. I could go on and on. Take a spinner bait, a plastic worm type bait, and a shallow running crank bait. you will probablycatch more fish on the worm, but larger fish on the other baits

Fish a solid black plastic worm. Hook it wacky rig style. I found the results to be double that of most other efforts.

Honestly the best bait I ever used and I swear by it is the Walley Diver. It is a bright green crankbait with a bright orange stomach. I have had tremendous success catching bass. Both smallmouth and largemouth just go crazy for that bait. You dont need any scents or bait on it at all. Just cast it out, once it hits the water it makes a nice splash...usually just that will land you a nice one. Count to ten once it hits the water and then slowly reel it back, then stop, then reel, then stop. It works great my friend, I always bring one with me no metter wher I go. The advantage with it being a crank bait, is that is float, and the bass will jump out of the water to get it, it makes for a realy fun afternoon let me tell you. Good Luck! although you wont need it with that bait on your line!

Large Mouth Bass get smarter as they get older. I call it indendent learning. They know a lure when they see it and will not strike. They prefer to feed on live fish especially Shad the gold ones they love them.
As for artifical lures the best live bait for Bass can be any live fish that doesn't have to be small. Let me tell you a story. I was reeling in a Crappie about 4 inches long. I figure what the hell so I reel him in fast across the top of the water becasue he is so small and wham and giant Bass came out of no where and took my fish off the hook.
Another story about Bass...early one morning I was fishing ijn a pong and I heard some splashing going on and there was this Gold Shad that got hurt in the process.actually the Bass bit it and came back to swallow him when he was jerking on the top of the water dying. It was a site to see.
My next story is that the best artificial lure to use that will gain you wide attention to catching Bass is the Shad Rap and Rattle Trap, but you mujst choose the ones that are efficient.Gold and White Shad. Rattlle Traps choose the gold and Purple ones. 3/8 ounce.
