I just bought a mossberg 855 turkey gun. how do i remove the plug so i can fit more than 2 shells in the tube?

it shoul hold 3 shells,1 in the barrel and two in the chamber,if you remove the plug,dont get check by the game warden.

Hello, i will try to answer your question... With a Mossberg you should be able to work the plug out through the opposite end of the magazine. MAKE SURE YOUR GUN IS UNLOADED then half-* your action and unscrew the barrel locking screw at the front of your magazine... the plug should work out of the hole then pull it out. If it is a factory plug, it will be a wooden dowel with two rubber grommets. Make sure as Hell you have it with you (Inside Mag again) when you are hunting birds again though. you can"t by law the gun must have the chocke in it. if u take it out ; mainly for safety and keep the barrel from melting.you can buy a 5 round tube moast shot guns built for turky are just duck guns .federal law only alows a three round capacity and modern duck guns are built to comply with this . but depending on state law you may be able to have a capacity of up to 6 rnds for moast game and 8 for cyote
