Marker help? Buy the Tippmann 98, A5 or the new X7? Best online vendor?
Question:In short, I need to get ten paintball equipment packages including marker, ammo, mask, vests etc. The Tippmann X7 looks very cool but possibly overkill for newbies.
1) which is the best marker that we won't grow out of
2) where are the best prices online?
3) what is the best all-around beginner's marker for under $200
4) what is essential starting equipment besides the marker and mask? protective vest? extra ammo holders?

OK first of all Durabillity sounds like it is a concern here. Because it sounds like you are renting theese guns .TIPPMANN 98 WINS it is a durable dependable gun with easy stripdowns and parts supply. the A-5 is more complicated and has parts that newbies can break(most of these parts are associated with the cyclone feed system) X7OVER KILL AND PRI$Y.the second part of your question.
1) The 98 or 98 custom is a standby that has been around along time and is a good solid gun I cant see being discontinued any time soon(ask TIPPMANN though) A-5 is VERY popular and will be with us for awhile to come too
2) I am not shure of an exact website but...www.tippmann.com should give you the best "feild starter prices for their equipment. You may want to pick up a Paint ball Magazine for all the stores and web sites(Action Persuit Games is a good one)
3) I am not shure of whare you live but the TIPPMANN 98 or 98custom pro is a good gun and due to its age is a cheaper model wich comes close to $100 a word of warning do not buy econamy guns(JT tack 9's are the worst,VL, brass eagles just a couple examples )if you are renting them they will not hold up long and you will have dis satisfied customers and wallet in the long run.most rental equipment I have seen are TIPPMANN 98's.
4)If you are renting these on a feild or to your freinds for that matter you will want: MASK,GUN, HOPPER,Co2 TANK 9oz. or 12oz. (the bigger ones are a lil more per unit but don't need to be filled as often thus resulting in less waste of co2 when purging the tanks for every refill. wich brings us to the next thing if you are running a feild. Co2 refill station(big tank of Co2,gauges valves and regulator,weigh scales, Cronograph( measures how fast each gun is shooting, you dont want to see any paint BULLITS!
And a few cases of paint balls along with some kitchen weigh scales and sandwich baggies for measuring out smaller portions of paint. An air horn and different coloured arm bands for the teams playing. aswell as a refferee shirt or 2 and some spare parts including O-rings O-rings and oh ya O-rings cant hurt either. oh and lest we forget...if you are buying TEN packages(please take note of the WHOLE QUESTION other users) a dozen or more barrel squeeges(they get lost)

Ok, if you want a gun you will not grow out of then go with the A-5, if you want the best gn for under $200 it would be the 98 custom or the Smart Parts ION. The X-7 would be a nice upgrade in a couple years, once you know you are going to continue with paintball. Essential gear: Gun, Mask, Nitro or CO2 tank (prefferably nitro, but co2 is good for starting), a pod pack and pods (pods carry more paintballs). If you are planning on playing mostly woodsball i would definately go with any Tippmann, but if you are playing speedball i would go with an ION, then later upgrade to a Proto or Angle.How can you tell which side is the front of the skateboard?
I agree, except for the Ion. Too much for a beginning player to have to deal with when they're just starting out.I would add a "cup" to the essentials list.
