if money is no object use the hevi shot or heavier than lead nontoxics. Winchester Expert works fine for me . I have good results with12 and 20 loads in 3.5 for the 12 and 3 in for the 12 and 20. I try to get the HV in the largest load possible of number 2 or number 3's.. Sometimes stores mis mark the 1 9/16 for the cheaper loads and you can pick up a box of 25 for about 14 dollars. Remember..killing ducks is about lead (aim) not lead (shot.). We all think steel does not kill clean but steel is faster than lead so your lead (aim ) is screwed up. back off a little bit maybe a barrel length and u will be putting more pellets on target. Also i have found point of hold lower with steel i guess it has a faster climb rate than lead pellets..anyway once you get your lead ( aim ) right you will crumple um up like paper dolls and they will fall dead.What all is involved in gettting a license to buy explosives?

This is a good question,because the steel shot that's out there has no knock-down power.I use a 31/2 inch mags and am having a hard time finding good ammo at reasonable prices,sure you got Tunston,Bismith but are too expensive.I say go back to the lead,but that's no going to happen legally. So I am instered to any answers you may get
I use Hevi-shot, but yeah...it's pretty pricy. I know guys who like the Nitro-steel loads from Remington. If you know anyone that reloads...maybe you can save a bit by splittin' costs with them.

I've had the best luck with Bismuth but at around 3 bucks a shell you don't want to miss . The Hevi-shot worked great on turkeys but I haven't shot any waterfowl with it yet but I plan on trying it.Should i buy a planet eclipse SL66 XSV EGO or something diffrent?
the best shell is one of those hevi-shot types.the best shell for the money is kent 3.5" steel @ 1625 fps

IF THERE IS ANTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT NON-TOXIC SHOT IT IS THAT IT SLOWS DOWN SOME OF THE "SKY-BUSTERS" FROM TRYING TO HIT DUCKS FROM 2 MILES AWAY OR SO HIGH THEY ARE WEARING OXYGEN MASKS.
I KNOW EVEN FOR MYSELF I PICK AND CHOSE MY SHOTS MORE CAREFULLY WHICH IS NOT A BAD THING.
