The Winchester Super Shadow .270 WMS. Can this rifle fire standard .270 shells, or .270 WMS only?
Answers:
Tonight I missed a nice buck...?
.270 win and .270 WSM are two completely different catridges. While they both fire a .277 caliber bullet, the brass for each is shaped differently and cannot be used in the same rifle. The WSM case is shorter, therefore is able to be used shorter bolt actions. While the .270 WSM has slightly better ballistics, ammo is usually more expensive than the extremely popular .270 win.Would it be better to upgrade my tippman 98 or buy a new gun?
WSM shells are shorter, so if you have a WSM rifle you should only fire those shells, dont try the standard ones, its dangerousWinchester Short Magnum WSM is a completly different cartridge and will not interchange.
