Solo Canoe?

I was wondering if anyone knew of some good solo canoes for week long wilderness trips. I'd like something stable, fast on open water that can haul me plus a small load and maybe have enough room for my dog to rest in comfortably. (less the 550 lbs total)

Does Crazy Jimmy still play the 9 hole at the "River Road" course ? I heard he moved to the U.S .?

It depends on how much money you have to spend-I love Wenonah solo canoes-I think they're stream-lined, light, good length, track well, but you pay for it :http://www.wenonah.com/

Otherwise I like Mohawk solo canoes as well. They are excellent canoes, cost a lot less, but are made of heavier materials: http://mohawkcanoes.com/solo.htm...

Those are my two favorite companies for solo canoes.
Have fun!
