try using baiits such as big hammer or fish trap type baits most of the time with those baits the plastic belly will glide along the bottom debri alot easier.try lso using scents like pro cure(calico cocktail) or hot sauce this will slick the baits up even more.alos try fishing edges were the grass ends and the sandy bottom is.theres some saltwater info in the link im sending you below.good luck ,Brian
