All depending on how much you wanted the gun to kick after firing it.

Rifles usually take 100 - 150 grains.You could also purchased premade powder pellets. That is the most accurate way to know you have the same amount of powder each time. if you want to make you own and you know how much you use just pour it in a empty casing and mark it and pour it out and use a hacksaw to cut it off at the mark. then just fill it up level each time and you will always measure the same.More Questions & Answers...
