I know a little bit about the cur, but not alot. They aren't just used for hunting, and they usually hunt coons, not rabbits. Several years ago, at a rodeo, I saw a performance that had a couple curs. They are herding dogs, and they herded around a bunch of longhorns. They are kind of unusual because they aren't dogs that nip at the heels, they go for the head. They herded the longhorns up on top of a trailer.

I have 3 catahoula curs. They are really good dogs but they do not like strangers. Most people use them to bay hogs, but we use ours to blood trail deer. They do a very good job and are very loving dogs. I would recommend them to anyone.More Questions & Answers...
