Fishing Line?

What factors would you consider in buying a fishing line

Answers:

Is it OK to tie a swivel w/safety snap to your line & then just snap on lures?

there is a time and place for almost every brand and size of line out there you need to ask yourself many questions in choosing for instance am i fishing muddy shallow water with a spinerbait or crankbait .Clear water in 60 feet of water for spotted bass, this is only two senarios of a thousand ,I would have to wright you a book to get you to understand

I need to find a good airsoft gun that shoots straight and doesn't curve. Sniper or Automatic. Under $100.

The one and only factor that matters is Spider Wire. Absolutely nothing else will do.

How to build a hang glider?

Stren Big game, or Trylene, abrasion resistance, stretch, memory,strength,diameter.Spide... wire suxs it has too much memory tends to knot up and takes a diamond sharp knife to cut.

Does anyone know the record weight of the largest carp caught in the UK?

Personally I wouldn't by spider wire.If you have bottom structure try breaking it off.The things to con cider cost,
asking fisherman,reliability.Personal... I like Trilene big game.
Fished for 40 yrs.

I Usually Carp fish, I am pike fishing for the 1st time tomorrow, Any tips and advice would be appreciated.?

Stay away from the chep stuff, if you don't you will spend your time messing with it. Look for low memory clear abration restance. I use spider wire for Bass Catfish Crappie and other lake fish. For trout fishing I use Rline 2lb fluorocarbon.

Where can I buy a 410 shotgun and how much would it cost?

Wide open question you have asked with many, many variables.

Myself I like fluorocarbon lines.
There is a new line out called Vicious Copolymer, not that all expensive, and the reviews I have read so far are all good.
I am going to try it and see what I think. Right now I use Sunline.

Different things to consider when buying line.
Water depth and clarity.
Species of fish you are fishing for.
Casting or trolling.
Freshwater or salt water.
Type of bait you are using and depth you will be fishing at.

Many more as well, just way to broad a question, go to BPS (Bass Pro Shop ) web page http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores... and just look at the different kinds and see what you think will fit you style of fishing the best.

Or try Cabela's http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templa...

I love guns. What careers deal with guns?

5 or 10 years ago, the only choice for most fishing was monofilament line. "Mono" stretched a bit a and was somewhat difficult for the fish to see. It had good knot strength and was easy to tie. Best of all it was cheap to buy. The main drawback was that it was only good for one season at best. The new lines such as spider wire or spectra are smaller diameter for the same knot strength which means you can put more line on the same size reel. (This is a consideration if you are deep sea fishing) however, the new lines are more difficult to tie a knot and are very expensive to buy but can survive for many years. Another new line is fluorocarbon. It is very difficutlt for the fish to see and fisherman use as a leader because it is vey expensive.
It is very difficult to give you specific advice because you did not specify what kind of fishing you do. but basically I do the folllowing

spinning trout fishing:2 to 4lb all mono
flying fishing for trout.: mono leaders with (1-2lb)fluorocarbon tippets
bass fishing=4-8 lbs mono or spyderwire.
deep sea=15-30 mono Lb with fluorocarbon leaders.
40-100=spectra with last 100 yds of mono with fluorocarbon leaders. .

Bottom line advice is if you buy mono buy the best. Cheap mono can break too soon. The rest you should go to a good sport fishing store and use their advice. Do not go to a big box store like big 5 or Walmart. They are not knowledgeable enough to advise you.

Co2 ??

Stren Original is the best monofilament fishing line

Fishing trip for my fiance?

For monofilament, buy a name brand, not the bargain basement stuff. Also, go to a store with good business -- you don't want to buy line which has been sitting on a shelf for years.

For characteristics -- I like clear mono, relatively limp, with good knot strength. I fish mainly saltwater, so I want line which stands up to the salt, and is pretty abrasion resistant. I like Trilene Big Game, though I've done fine with some other brands as well. (I found that the freshwater Trilene discolors after a day fishing in the salt -- I don't know if it was weakened, but I took the discoloration as a bad sign.)

Remington 870 Express Magnum Refinishing?

Line diameter, abrasion resistance, stretch, pound test, visibility, shock resistance, hook setting power, knot strength, line memory, stiffness (or limpness), coloration, water absorption/retention, type and depth of lure to be used with, type of cover used in, and last but not least price. The best of these qualities will only be found in Premium fishing lines.
There are bound to be a few others you would consider if going for IGFA records as well.

In .45 1911's what is the difference between single and double stacks?

I WOULD GO WHITH THE SMALLEST DIAMETER PER POUND.
CHECK OUT TECTAN .

IT IS THE BEST I HAVE EVER TRIED.
