Does anyone have good fishing venues (coarse) in North Manchester?

My dept issues 40 S&W as does our Michigan state troopers, the county uses 9mm and a large dept nearby allows the officers to use 9mm, 40S&W and 45acp, they get to choose what works best for them. I do not know of any dept's using revolvers in my area.

What would a 1880-1889 Smith & Wesson .38 Gun's value be in American dollars.?

.40. It has to be a heavier caliber to get through car doors and stop a crazy person. I believe quite a few departments use glocks.

Can i hunt legally on georgia kraft land, or georgia pacific property?

Most police departments have adopted the 9mm automatic, either a Berretta or a Glock. They're light and accurate.

How can I prevent forest fires?

Most use a 9mm Beretta or Glock (at least around here in the CA bay area). Some departments opt for the more powerful .40 S&W and some officers prefer to carry their own .40 or .45 ACP due to the 9mm's often over-penetration problem and lack of stopping power.

What are some good fresh water pond lures?

In my part of the country, the 40 S&W seems to be most popular.

Any archers i need your help?

30 years ago the vast majority of Police used 38/357 revolvers. The trend in recent years have been toward semi autos with magazine of 10-15 rounds; and are much quicker to reload. Most department have gone to 9mm or 40 S&W I am not sure which would be more numerous but the tread is going to the 40 S&W. Some deppartments allow their officers to choose their sidearm; including the town I live in. I have seen a variety of 9mms and 40 cal autos, there are one or two officers who carries a 45 caliber Colt 1911, plus there are a few here who carry revolvers. In some smaller departments revolvers may still be standard issue but mostly those who carry them have the option and carry them because they prefer their reliability.

Why do americans think that pigs are hard to kill??

Most of our cops use .45's, either SIGARMS or GLOCK. No revolvers around here.

Been to any good dogging site.?

The ones in my area are using Sigs with either .40 S&W or the .357 Sig ammo for power and penatration.

What was the biggest fish you have ever caught?

I think that these days .40 S&W is almost universal among North American police. A few use 9mm, 45acp, 10mm, but the overwhelming majority is .40. In Europe I think 9mm is almost universal.

These days, pretty much no police departments in developed countries use revolvers. They were almost universal until the early 90's when semi-auto pistols were adopted.

The most common police pistols are Glocks, which I think acount for over half of North American police force weapons. Other pistols that would be common are various Smith and Wesson models, SIG pistols, Beretta 92's, Walther P99's are used by a few, and various others.

What causes a gun to jam?

Police Departments in the U.S. use semi-automatic pistols in 9 milimeter, .40 S&W, .357 Sig, and .45 Auto. More than half of all police departments issue the Glock Handguns, more than 1,000 police departments issue the Beretta 92, 96, Cougar, and 8,000 model handguns, and other police departments issue Ruger, Smith and Wesson, Sig Sauer, Heckler and Koch, Browning, and Walther handguns. Just about every police department in the country has seen the advantages of the semi-automatic pistol over the revolver. The semi-automatic pistol generally holds more ammo, is faster to reload, and can deliver more firepower onto a threat than a revolver. Very few police departments in the U.S. still issue revolvers.

What are some great crappie baits?

Are the Colman propane lantern dangerous to use in a tent?

Most use 9x19mm or .40 S&W.

If they haven't changed things in the last year or so, I believe Cleveland Heights, OH still issues its police officers Ruger GP-100s in .357 Magnum. Don't know of any other agency that still issues revolvers though.

What is the best bait to use for crabbing on the west coast of bc canada?

Most police departments in the USA carry .40SW automatics, not 9mm. 9mm is becoming very "passe" among departments. There is only one in my local tri-county area that I know use 9mm (Sig P226). If you think about it, 40SW is getting the same mass following that 38SPL got earlier in the last century. When 9mm was all the rage (in the 1980s), a lot of departments still used S&W model 10 or 15 .38SPL revolvers. Even the Ohio State Highway Patrol used the S&W Model 681 .357 (the fixed-sight brother of the 686) until the early 1990s. 9mm was more of an interim replacement for the .38SPL/.357MAG until 40SW came around. Only security guards and some prison guards use revolvers anymore.

Looking for online help to find the value of used shotguns...can anyone help...thanks..?

I'd venture to guess that most police departments are still using the 9mm, and many are in the process of switching over to the .40.

I'm sure you can still find some departments still using revolvers as they're VERY reliable and easier to maintain.
