M4 - S System customization?

Question:For the A&K M4 - S System (airsoft), can the stock gearbox handle a 140% spring upgrade? If not, what would you recommend upgrading within the gun to help upgrade to a 140% spring?

Also, I've noticed the recent high quality M4A1s are expensive and I'd like to have one with a gas M203... its not gonna happen anytime soon with the money I'm making. If I decide to get the M4 - S System, what gas M203 would best fit it? Not extending the tip of the barrel.

You'll need an upgrade piston, cylinder and the related seals, and a set of hardened-tooth metal gears wouldn't hurt either. Greater spring pressure will only increase pressure efficiently with the piston/cyl upgrade, and the increased power of the 140% spring can cause you to strip the teeth off of stock gears.
I'm not sure of the M203 gasgun brands, but the rail mount types
that are designed to lock onto the step-down on the exposed portion of the barrel are short barreled models designed especially for M4's, rather than the longer barreled ones for older 20" barrel M16/203's that took a special front handguard.(the one with the large, round cooling holes in the sides)
