Why would you want to make a squirrel soup? I find the best way to get meat off of any bones is to boil the meat for quite a while and then pick it off the bones.I have a pan in which a metal colander sits, I usually put whole chickens in the colander and then when I'm ready to take the meat off the bones, I can lift the colander out, but the broth can be left behind to flavor the soup.with a knife
