Skateboarders please answer!?
I want to learn to skateboard. But I don't know the first thing about it. I have went and watched at my local skatepark. It's looks hard. Do you have any tips for a newbie? How do you turn the board? Maybe a joke to ya'll, but I really don't know. I haven't researched anything about it.

nope sure isn't a joke to me I understand, we all should because we've all been there. What you need to do is some reserch and make sure its something you want to do. I'll post some good sites for you to check out. You turn by leaning left or right on the board, the trucks flex back and forth and make the deck turn when you lean. first thing u have to do: buy a skateboard of course (any kind)then go on a flatground like on a sidewalk and start rolling. just get comfortable and get the feel of it. then start practice turning.
