In ILL. all you have to have is the deer to be tagged with the owners archery or gun tag.The tag has to stay with the deer till it is back in the owners possession.It will vary from state to state, but more than likely, they will just need to be a state certified processor, with current paperwork.

not sure about this one, depends on the state. but i think all a butcher needs to process ur deer is something in writing stating who it came from, address, phone, etc. this is what one needs when someone gives u some deer meat.u need proof of where it came from so that u didnt poach the animal.More Questions & Answers...
