Minnow bait for a lake?

Whats the best way to catch minnows? What kinda bait?

We usually use crumbled bread and let it sit for 10 min or so and them scoop them up with our seine

If you have a river near you thats a great place to find minnows. A place near the rivers edge or small inlet. Just use a net or bucket you don't need any type of bait.

We use bread in a small bag made from an onion sack and just hang them inside a minnow trap.Or if for big minnows I use a umberella net an sink it first then I toss in crumbled dry bread and just wait for them to so then I lift then net up and I have my shiners!
