I can't sew and yet somehow I made sandbags out of some old jeans that were falling apart. Cut off part of a leg sew one end (fold the end and run thread over and over through it or use staples). Make them all sizes little, big, sew a crease down the middle of some. The more diversity the better you can get your gun set up. Use old Jean legs. Use play sand that you can buy at most Home Depot, Lowe's and Menard's stores. It's the stuff people put in kids sand boxes. It is clean and nice to handle. You can even use rice to fill the bags if you have a source of cheap rice. Whatever you do DON'T USE BEACH SAND. The salt in the stuff will rust your guns in a great big hurry. Put the sand (or rice) into a zip lock bag that fits the jean leg. The plastic bag is essential becausew if you put the sand into the cloth bag without the plastic liner, grit will sift through the material and create a mess on your shooting bench top that will get into everything including the action on your gun, Ugh! Squeez out all the air and sew up the jean leg. Your sewing doesn't have to be pretty, it just has to hold the jean leg shut.
