The gun was a C.O.P. (Compact Off-duty Police) derringer.

The gun is slightly larger than a .25 cal semi-auto but fires the .357 mag round. A real handful to hang onto when fired. Never caught on with police officers; too pricey and a compact semi auto, holding seven to ten rounds was only slightly larger.

By the way, this gun was also on Battlestar Galatica.
