Why should i register my handgun?
It's a very nice Sig .40 cal for home defence, and (call me a conspiracy theorist) i don't see the benefits of anyone knowing i have it.
Answers:
If for home defense and home defense only, don't register if you don't want to. Don't take it to the range for practice (like you should) and forget though, it's a felony. (plus, if the state legislature felt that strongly about it they would have mandated you have it registered on the spot at the gun shop like they do in my state
If for carry, REGISTER. trust me.

You shouldn't unless your state law requires that you do. The vast majority of states don't require registration. Maybe only Hawaii and New Jersey. What should i bring to camp out and wait for jordan shoes?
Bound's hubby here:When you purchased your handgun from the gun shop, or the person you bought it from bought it from the gun shop, a federal form 4473 was filled out. That is when the handgun was registered. If you purchased the handgun from a private party, hopefully you got a bill of sale that identifies who you purchased it from, the same as they should have been smart enough to get your information. You do not know, if you purchased your pistol from a private party, what illegal activities that pistol was used in. You want a paper trail, that will protect you from prosecution for any crimes committed with the gun by previous owners.
Good luck.
There is no way you can buy a gun LEGALY without registering it. It's also good to have your gun registered so you can't get arrested for possesing illeagal firearms!
if you dont want to, dont. just be aware that if something happens, you could get in trouble for not having it registered!
