Types of fish in Millinocket Lake and Moosehead Lake in Maine?
Texas is a really big state. Lake Fairfield in Fairfield texas has a really nice state park with RV, Camping with power outlets, and even primitave camping sites that no electricity is available and is secluded from all of the noise and bussel of RV's Motor Homes and so forth. The bank fishing is really nice as well. Lots of wildlife such as bald eagles, deer and other animals that are protected and not too shy. There is even Raccoon raids at night if you arent careful to put away all food sources. LOL its a blast. However My favorite lake has to be the one that has the easiest access to my home, convenience, fishability, and safety. TPWD has a really good website www.tpwd.state.tx.us they have a nice texas map that will let you select your region and it will list all of the lakes in your region of texas in accordance to their location. Also list what if any recreational activities are allowed such as boat ramp access camping Rving hiking trails and what type of fish and what abundance are there. Also gives you direct access to current fishing reports (if available) to let you know what the fish are biting. There is a nice huge beautiful lake in Austin to stay and play at- I think it is called Lake Travis- I am not sure how the fishing is, though.

Lake Fork Bar None!Where is the best sites to buy wholesale tackle?
Purtis Creek State Park. Its clean, the lake is small, there is a park, two fishing docks, camping and a swimming area. I love it. Its the best kept secret in Texas. The bass are big, but they are catch and release only. All other fish can be kept. The lights are kept on at night on the docks and the bass congregate around the lights. I'd use live bait. The best way is to throw a casting net in the shallows and catch shad, hook the shad right above the black spot and let swim without weight or bobber. Hold on tight.
From Dallas go I-20 East to 175. Take 175 east. Go about 45 minutes, you will pass Cedar Creek Lake and then you will know its not far ahead. When you come into the town (start hitting red lights), look for the sign on the left. Turn left and go about 3 miles and there is a big sign on the left to enter. Good luck! Get a map I forget all the names of the streets.
How are the fish biteing in local lakes and rivers?
Lake Fork is my favorite. There is another lake that has surpassed Fork in quality fish. Lake Alan Henry located 45 miles southeast of Lubbock has provided more bass to the Share-a-Lunker program than even Lake Fork. I KNOW IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE! But for my money Lake Fork is still THE premier spot in Texas for camping, fishing and downright nice people. The crowds are just unbelievable during the spawn and the summers are plenty hot and humid. Fall is the best time to go to avoid all this and still catch numbers of big fish. That's where I plan to be. I've gone there at least once a year since it was impounded in 1980.Check it out sometime and you won't be sorry.
