For spinner and chatter baits are natural colors better or do you want to stand out?

I've been using yellow but people have been telling me natural works better even though i catch a good amount for bright colors.

If you are catching fish with the color you are using it works!Try a few other color patterns because at times there will be a change up either from the lake or the fish at one point of time.

Is David Blaine a magician, superhero, illusionist, artist or just a frickin weirdo? Will he drown?

well I have been using the chatterbait now for just over 2 weeks . I use the chartruese and white with a gold blade and have caught over 50 bass off it . added an owner trailer hook to it though as I found the factory hooks arent very sharp

I have heard that black is more visible to bass in off colored/muddy water you might try that

I am going to stick with my white and chatruese though , the proof to me is in the catches I have made off it . I will attach a pic on here as well

You want to stand out and be seen. Let water color and bottom color and content dictate your color selection. If the fish are short striking try a trailer hook or different size color or pattern.

If what you're using works stick with it, but as far as color goes you want to use dark colors in murky water, and light colors in clear water.
If the water is a murky brown, white and yellow baits blend in with the mud.
If the water is clear dark baits may blend in with vegetation and other objects in the background.

Would you rather jump out an airplane or bungee jump?

There is an old adage in lure choice that I have followed and it has produced for me over the years. It is; dark days dark lures, bright days, bright lures. On dark days or in darker water, I simply want my lures to be represented, just show them so fish can spot where the shadow is. On bright days or in clearer water, I want the colors to be reflective.

The colour you use is based on the conditions at the time.

If you're fishing in muddy water, a charteuse bait with gold or painted blades is a good idea, because it is easier to see. Using bigger blades is a good idea too when the water is murky because it gives off more vibration and makes it easier to annoy the fish.

If you're fishing clear water, you'll want to try a more natural color. Fishing legend Roland Martin says "You can use any spinnerbait color, as long as it's white" and it's a good adage to go by, as white is probably the most adaptable color.

Black is a good color if you're fishing in the evening, as it has a better silhouette in the water(don't ask me why).

Gold blades show up the best on sunny days, and silver on cloudy.

Here's a good rule of which bait to use in which condition:

Rainy day - black or purple spinner or chatterbait with a colorado blade

Bright day - white bait with silver willow blades

Dirty Water - chartreuse bait with gold or painted blades

Night fishing- black bait with colorado blades

Very clear water- natural colored bait (green, brown)
