The NRA has exactly what you want. Go to www.nra.com and look at the things in the NRA store.I went the cheap route and bought a bound ledger book at an office supply store. I record the serial number, a description of the gun, any identifying marks, when and from whom I bought it and how much I paid. Then I take a good picture of the gun and paste it on the page along with the info. I keep this book separate from my guns so that if they are destroyed or stolen I will have the needed info for the insurance company. You might also want to check with your insurance company to see if there is anything else that they would like for you to keep in your record book.
