What frequency are the radios that rugby ref's use?

What frequency (or range of frequencies) do rugby refs use? How easy are they to listen to? Am going to a few games in the next couple of weeks and would like to know if possible!!

Todays rugby?

They use a frequency within the VHF band depending on where in the world they are or even the area that they are in and who else has local frequencies reserved.
The biggest problem that you will come across is that they scramble the signal, so even if you can find the frequency which is quite easy with a hand held scanner, you wont be able to hear what they say. Sorry. Would be fun to know though.

Adult Rugby teams in the South?

They use a frequency that is scrambled to stop rival companies from boradcastin it as bbc allow you to listen to them. You can now buy a radio from outside the pitches which allows you to listen in. they cost about a fiver.
