1. rucking - clearing over a tackled player and driving off the opposition
2. mauling - stripping the ball off a player (standing) and driving off opposition
3. scrumming - 8 players from each team set in together in a diamond figure and fight for possession of ball by driving over the ball
4. lineout - getting the ball in play after it goes in touch where each team forms a line and the ball gets thrown down the middle
5. punting - kicking strategically (knowing when to kick and where it should land)
6. conversions- being able to kick through the uprights from various spots on the field
