about 3hrs before a race so everything gets digested and you dont throw up in the middle of ur race. I usually eat fruit since it actually digests faster than normal food and it can give u ltos of energy especially apples cuz they have lots of carbs for energy. just dont stop drinking water thou untill like 1second b4 your race -water is key.Pre-race nervousness, how do you cope?
don't you mean why not when runners eat before a marathon if not basically you just answer your own questionI usually eat a banana, oatbran, & water an hour or two before the race...followed by a Gel pack 20-30 minutes before the start. No matter what you do, experiment on your training runs...rather than try something new on race day. Best of luck!
