It's hard to really say what you need to do with out seeing you run. Of course just simple speed will help and learning to three step is also important, but you really need to perfect the basics. Start with your starts. You should be going out of blocks, if you don't you need to learn that. Second how is your form over the hurdle? Are you jumping the hurdle? Begining hurdlers have to learn that the hurdling isn't jumping the hurdle but quickly stepping over it. There are many drills you can do to work on this. Start with simple lead leg drills, where you walk up to the hurdle and push it down with your lead leg. This teaches you not to jump but rather bring your leg up and extend it out. Also do you bring your trail leg up and under your body or do you bring it around? Bringing it up and under forces you to again jump the hurdle rather then stepping over it. Do some drills woring on bring the trail leg around rather then up and under. A good one is to line up three or four hurdles and walk along the side of them bringing your trail leg up and over the hurdle. Be sure to have you lead leg just in front of the hurdle so your not leading with your trail leg. You need to perfect your form over the hurdle before learning to three step.

Nike air max 360s or nike shox!?

Just a suggestion but the hurdlers at my school start off with blocks. Practice your block starts. Focus on something on the track and not the person who tells you to start. Keep low when you start; popping straight up will slow you down. Also the first three strides should be long and powerful. Gradually raise yourself from the lower position to a higher one. I think that getting a good block start is really important. Good luck!

When running, does it help to wrap.?

hey i do hurdles as well, 110s and 300s. all the drills that we do are variations of lead and trail leg so its hard to get away from that. there is this one drill. you set up 5 hurdles, first one normal height, next one is highest height, etc. then you go over the first one normally and then go under the next one to work your hips. and there's everyones favorite, the hurdler's ladder. im quite confident that you know what that is, but if you don't, that's when you set up 2 hurdles at a time and for the 300s you run the entire 400meters and for the 110s, you run the entire 200. this continues until you reach all the hurdles (110s-10, 300s-8)

How long did it take to the Greek soldier to run from Marathon to Athens in 490 BC?

I don't know what age you are to know which height hurdles or if you do sprint or intermediate hurdles so I will include as much info that you can take what pertains to you.
For speed and quick steps for sprint hurdles:
Hurdles must be brought in closer. Shorten the distance between the first and second hurdle so that you can 3 step without bounding.
* Use your feet to walk off the distance you moved the hurdle from the original marks, now walk off the same distance for all of the other hurdles.
* Run these in practice until in feel like you are getting too close to the next hurdle then move all the hurdles a step forward.
Discounted Hurdling Description:
- Move all of the hurdles in one of your foot lengths (1st hurdle 1 foot in 2nd 2 feet and so one until all the hurdles are set up) and then move all of the hurdle down 3 inches lower than race height.
Hurdle height 33 in. (0.84m)
- First hurdle is placed 12.5m from the starting line, second hurdle is place 8.0m/8.3m from the first, third hurdle is place 12.5m from the second hurdle. Then 8.0m/8.3m and 12.5m is alternated for how ever many hurdles are used, always ending with a hurdle measuring 8.0m/8.3mm.
Have someone take your splits between the hurdles and run until your time decreases by over .1 sec (not just one split, but all of the splits).
Run these until 8.0m/8.3mm time are almost equal. Then add two more hurdle (remember to end with a hurdle measuring 8.0m/8.3mm.)
Height: 30 in. (0.762m) Description:
- First hurdle is placed 11m from the starting line, second hurdle is place 7.8m/8.0m from the first, third hurdle is place 11m from the second hurdle. The 7.8m/8.0mm and 11m is alternated for how ever many hurdles are used, always ending with a hurdle measuring 7.8m/8.0m.
Have someone take your splits between the hurdles and run until athlete's time decreases by over .1 sec (not just one split, but all of the splits).
Run these until 7.8m/8.0m time are almost equal. Then add two more hurdle (remember to end with a hurdle measuring 7.8m/8.0mm.)

300m and 400m Hurdles
First 3, Last 3:
- The first three hurdles and the last three hurdles are setup on the marks. The race distance is run using these hurdle settings.
Run 3 to 5 of these to build strength.
First 6:
- The first six hurdles are setup on the marks. The first six hurdle are then ran at race pace to build rhythm.
Run 5 to 7 of these to build rhythm and strength.
Last 3:
- The last three hurdles are setup on the marks, this is used for 300 hurdle training to build strength.
Run 3 to 5 of these to build strength.
