Im in 8th grade, and my fastest mile was 6:20, and my 2 mile is 16:06, is that good?
5:30 is respectable. If you break 5:00 minutes, that is very good.
Under 4:50, you are on your way to stardom.
it depends, what are you tarining for, the british army require a 10 minute mile and a half to get accepted. but if your runnig a mile only it should be a very fast mile as u will not have to pace yourself like you would have to in a marathon or a race as big.

9.5 minutes, at least thats what they say at my school.Running in Crocs. Tell me your experience?
there are 8th grade boys that go 4:40 to win state. Odds are, you won't be able to break 5 minutes by the end of the year. A good 8th grade time is 5:10 and a good freshman time is 4:55-4:59. A workout that will let you break 5 minutes in the mile is. 10 x 300 meter repeats in 55 seconds with a 100 meter jog in between. If you can do this workout and run 3 miles a day in 19 minutes-19:30 easily, you'll break 5 minutes in the mile.Have u ever gotten DQed in a relay? what do u do after that?
You would be very fast for a 14 year old to break into the 4's. A good time would probably be about 5:20 or faster. However, if you're fast, then by all means, go for the 4's!I think about 9 minutes cause a boy in my school is in third grade and he ran a mile in 10 minutes and 10 seconds!!!
His name is Ryan
Well, the guys in my school run about 4:40's, 4:50's
but everyone is different.
You'll definetly get there with practice!!
Good luck
